Our Commitment to Accessibility
Ascent Roofing is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We believe everyone deserves equal access to information and functionality, and we are continually improving the user experience for everyone by applying the relevant accessibility standards to www.ascentroofingsd.com (the “Site”).
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. We also work to support the goals of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the California Unruh Civil Rights Act as they apply to digital content.
We regularly review the Site and work toward full conformance. Some content may not yet fully meet every success criterion; where gaps exist, we are actively working to resolve them.
Measures We Take
- Designing and developing with accessibility best practices and semantic HTML;
- Providing text alternatives for non-text content such as images and project photography;
- Maintaining sufficient color contrast and legible, resizable text;
- Ensuring the Site can be navigated using a keyboard and assistive technologies;
- Using clear, consistent navigation, headings, and link text;
- Labeling form fields on our contact and free-estimate forms and providing accessible error messages;
- Providing visible focus indicators and skip-to-content navigation;
- Designing responsive layouts that adapt to different devices, orientations, and zoom levels;
- Reviewing accessibility as part of our ongoing site maintenance and before publishing new pages.
Compatibility With Browsers & Assistive Technology
The Site is designed to be compatible with current versions of major web browsers — including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge — and commonly used assistive technologies, including screen readers, screen magnifiers, and speech-recognition software. The Site may not perform reliably on browser versions more than two major releases old.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations may exist. In particular, third-party content that we embed but do not control — such as embedded video players, Google Maps, review widgets, financing-partner tools, and social-media widgets — may not always be fully accessible, because those experiences are built and maintained by external providers. Some older project photography and archived blog content may also lack complete text alternatives. If you encounter a barrier, please let us know so we can assist you directly and prioritize a fix.
We Want Your Feedback
If you experience any difficulty accessing any part of the Site, or if you have suggestions for improvement, please contact us. We welcome your feedback and will make reasonable efforts to provide the information, item, or transaction you seek through an accessible communication method or alternative means.
