Information you provide to us

Identity & contact data — name, email address, mailing or service address, phone number, and similar identifiers you submit through our contact and free-estimate forms, calls, texts, chats, or emails.
Property & project data — the address and characteristics of the property to be serviced, roof type and condition, photographs you send us, the type of work requested, scheduling preferences, and correspondence about your project.
Estimate, contract & service data — quotes, proposals, contracts, work orders, change orders, inspection reports, warranty registrations, and service history.
Insurance and financing data — where you ask us to assist with an insurance claim or a financing application, information such as your carrier, claim or policy number, adjuster contact details, and information you authorize a third-party lender to share with us. We do not make credit decisions; financing applications are submitted to and decided by independent lenders under their own privacy policies.
Payment data — billing information processed through our third-party payment and financing partners. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers.
User content — reviews, testimonials, survey responses, messages, photographs, and any other information you choose to share with us.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share personal information in the following circumstances:

Service providers / processors — vendors who perform services on our behalf (website hosting, analytics, form processing, email and text messaging, scheduling, CRM, payment processing, and advertising), bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
Subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers — where necessary to perform, warrant, inspect, or supply materials for your project.
Insurers, adjusters, lenders, property managers, and HOAs — where you have asked us to work with them on your claim, financing, or property, or where they are a party to the project.
Advertising & analytics partners — to measure and improve our marketing. Under certain state laws, the use of cross-context behavioral advertising cookies may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; see Section 5 to opt out.
Legal & safety — when required by law, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ascent Roofing, our customers, our crews, or the public.
Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We will verify your identity before fulfilling your request and will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf with proper written authorization. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the word “Appeal” and the reason for your appeal.

6. California Notice (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, provides the additional rights described in Section 5. In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories of personal information described in Section 1 — identifiers, customer records, commercial information, internet and network activity, approximate geolocation, and inferences — for the purposes described in Section 2, from the sources described in Section 1, and disclosed them for business purposes to the categories of recipients described in Section 3.

We do not sell personal information for monetary value, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted without a right to limit under the CCPA. 7. International & EU/UK Visitors (GDPR/UK GDPR)

Our Services are operated from the United States and are directed to customers in the San Diego, California area. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our legal bases for processing include your consent, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests. 8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, honor workmanship and manufacturer warranties, comply with our legal, licensing, accounting, insurance, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Project records, contracts, and warranty documentation are typically retained for the duration of the applicable warranty period plus any additional period required by California law. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.

9. How We Protect Your Information

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including encryption of information submitted through the Site. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping any account credentials confidential.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

The Site contains links to and embedded content from third-party websites and services that we do not operate or control, including video players, mapping services, review platforms, and financing partners. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

12. Estimates, Inspections & Property Information

When you request a free estimate or roof inspection, you authorize us to collect information about the property identified in your request, including photographs, measurements, aerial or satellite imagery, and notes taken by our inspectors, and to use that information to prepare a proposal and perform the work. If you are not the owner of the property, you represent that you have the owner’s permission to request the inspection and to share the property information with us. We may retain inspection records and images to support warranty claims, insurance claims, and quality control, and — only where you have given separate permission — to feature completed work in our portfolio or marketing.

13. SMS/Text Messaging

If you opt in to receive text messages from us, you consent to receive transactional and/or promotional messages at the number you provide, including appointment confirmations, crew arrival notifications, and project updates. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase or of receiving an estimate. Mobile opt-in information and consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above and, where required by law, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
